onbekend maakt onbemind? unknown=unloveble?

 

Via Maria van der Veen en haar weblog Meervilt! werd ik op een allerleukste manier geattendeerd op het feit dat mijn weblog 'naamloos' door het leven gaat. Ik was me daar helemaal niet van bewust en op mijn profiel is nu mijn naam zichtbaar geworden. Een kwestie van het juiste hokje aanvinken.. De naam 'dovadi' is een samenvoeging van mijn eerste twee letters van mijn naam (dorie van dijk) en heb ik ooit bedacht toen ik op de textielopleiding t-shirtprints bedacht had voor een groot textielbedrijf. De toevoeging van fiberfusing is later gekomen, want dat geeft veel meer weer de inhoud weer. Ik vind het dan ook niet belangrijk hoe ik eruit zie, maar veel fijner dat mensen mij gaan waarderen om wat ik doe. En getuige het artikeltje van Maria is dat aardig gelukt, ook al was het even zoeken. Dank je Maria voor je oplettende en doortastend zoeken!

It happens to be that a lady walked in a shop Meervilt! with a plantprinted felted scarf that she has bought on the exhibition 'heavenly wandering'. After some research they find the name of the artist and they discovered that it is me! Maria, the owner of the shop informed me that my weblog was without a name or face. Thanks Maria, it was fixed in a second, because I had simply to mark the line in my profile. Anyway my weblogname 'dovadi' is made from the first second letters and the name fiberfusing was added a few months later. I like the name fiberfusing, because it reflects the experiments and works I make. I rather like that people talk about my work, than the way I look like....
